The list is prepared after analyzing the data available, although some special marks are given to the reputation and future prospects each stars hold. We haven’t fall into the gutter of putting elephant and goat in the same class. Each actor in the list has talent, but may fall down in the list due to their selection of bad subject and timing.
Class A constitutes the giants, the incomparable, and the most gifted. Putting them together in a list is not fair as one is the most paid actor while other is the most gifted filmmaker. They are in this class because they are the stars of the stars.
Class B constitutes the established stars or the super stars. Their films are festivals in box office as these stars compete between themselves to stay on top. They are a bit experimental and take risks. Their films are mostly masala oriented crowd pushers.
Class C (Youth)
Upcoming stars and superstars of Tamil film industry come under this list. They represent the virulent youth and the most experimental. They try to prove their mettle and have many successes with their earlier films. They long to work with great technicians and producers.
Class D (Loosing glitter)
This class represents the yester year super stars who are loosing their glitter and is still fighting for the lost ground. Their selection of story does not appeal to the changing mindset of the film going youth. They live on the old formulas of successful films.
Class E (Inconsistent)
Introduced by Manirathnam he is no short of talent but things are not working in his favor. His time may soon arrive.
Class F (Upcoming)
This class represents actors who have got 1-2 hits in their pocket. They have higher chance to mature into Class C sooner.
Class G – Washed out.
But in tinsel world no one can be told a failure. As the time changes, with good scripts and good directors they may strike back and make to Class C.
