Remember the “Kangal Irandaal” girl, Swathi, who played her role to perfection in the blockbuster Subramaniapuram? It looks like the lass, who definitely is in no hurry to sign roles, will finally do a Tamil film, almost a year after ‘Subramaniapuram‘ happened.
Swathi, who was a TV anchor turned actress in Telugu, struck gold in Kollywood through her very first film, ‘Subramaniapuram’, playing the demure school going Thulasi. Following this, the actress was tad disappointed at having received only such village-girl roles in Tamil cinema, and so, had decided to not do any uninspiring project here, and concentrated on her career in Tollywood.
But it now looks like she has received an interesting project in Tamil. And surprise, she will be paired yet again with her ‘Subramaniapuram‘ co-star, Jai.
The film will be produced by Amma Creations and will be directed by debutant Sripathi.
The film is likely to start shoot very soon, and Swathi is said to be delighted at receiving such an interesting role. Patience pays for sure!
