Actor Vishal, who has been trying hard to cast a North Indian heroine to play a role in his Theeradha Vilayaatu Pillai, can now heave a sigh of relief. He finally has found a heroine, who is none other than the girl who played Priya, Madhavan’s wife in his horror flick, Neetu Chandra.
Neetu Chandra, the actress who has played important roles in films like Traffic signal and Playing Guest, has been approached by Vishal to play one of the three heroines in director Thiru’s Theeradha Vilayaatu Pillai. The film features Vishal as a Casanova flanked by three heroines, of which only Shriya Saran has been confirmed.
For the role that Neetu has been offered, Vishal had originally wanted to cast Bipasha Basu, whose only Tamil film so far remains Vijay’s Sachien. But the actress politely declined the role as she had other commitments till the end of next year. The role was then offered to Tanushri Dutta, and has finally been bagged by Neetu Chandra. The actress is yet to sign the dotted line but it is learnt that she has a bold role to play in the film.
