At number 4, we have Karthi. Though his romantic drama Dev bit the dust at the box office, Karthi made a solid comeback with Kaithi which grossed more than 100 crores at the box office. Also, he showed a solid display in Kerala, Karnataka and Tollywood box office with Kaithi. Karthi’s year-end release Thambi holds decently but trade predicts that it will not be a hit at the box office.
What he did: Kaithi put him back to the elite list. Dev is a box office disaster and Thambi is an average grosser.
Future Projects: Sultan with Bakkiyaraj Kannan and Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan
