Creative director Krish after winning the national award with Kanche, created a sensation with Natasimha Balakrishna‘s 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni. He is now getting ready to show Jhansi Lakshmi Bai on screen in a grand manner. The film titled Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was launched in a grand manner in the holy city of Varanasi.
Kangana Ranaut who is playing the lead role is extremely excited and it is coming out that she is sweating for Manikarnika. Speaking to scribes she says “I will start shooting for sword fighting (sequences) soon, so I will be learning that. Now, I’m learning horse riding,”
She added “It’s a challenging film. Vijayendra Prasad (writer) is a legend, and his screenwriting is exceptional. I’m so fortunate to work with him. He said Manikarnika is no less than Baahubali, and that makes me feel so good.” Kangana continued saying “It’s a real character from the 19th century, and that’s a fantastic world,”
Kangana shares “We will give an amazing story with a lot of drama. We’re keeping it very authentic, and keeping that authenticity in mind, we will have a very dramatic and poetic portrayal of her.” She added “I’m so blessed to be here,”
Kangana revealed “With the blessings of Lord Shiva, we have launched it here. After coming onboard for this project, I feel like I’ve achieved something very big in my life. I feel that Rani of Jhansi is very relatable for women like us. Life without respect was equivalent to death for her.”
