Since this morning, director Pa. Ranjith was being trolled by a section of ‘Baahubali‘ fans on Twitter who came to know that the ‘Kabali‘ director has said: “‘Baahubali 2‘ does not have anything for the society”.
Within a few hours, it became clear that the news that Pa. Ranjith criticized ‘Baahubali 2‘ is completely false.
Later Pa. Ranjith clarified to a Tamil new channel that he never passed any negative comments about ‘Baahubali 2‘ and in fact, he watched the film and liked it.
Celebrities are also humans and they do have their right to express their views. So it is unfair to target Pa. Ranjith even if he had spoken anything against a film. While this should be the norm in a democratic country like India, showing outrage against a young filmmaker for something he has never said is highly atrocious.
As shown in the first part, Baahubali(Prabhas)is declared as the king of Mahishmati. As part of the kingdom’s ancestral ritual, the would-be king needs to visit the countryside to know what problems the people in his kingdom are facing. In this process, Baahubali visits a small kingdom called Kuntala and falls in love with its princess Devasena (Anushka).
He woos Devasena with his charm and brings her to Mahishmati. But to his shock, Baahubali’s mother, Shivagami(Ramya Krishnan) changes her decision suddenly and announces Bhallaladeva(Rana) as the king. Why did Shivagami suddenly announce Bhallaladeva as the king? What is the back story behind her decision? and why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? To know answers to these questions, you need to watch the film on the big screen.
Prabhas and Rana Daggubati have delivered outstanding performances in Baahubali 2 and the battle between the two is the highlight of the movie. In fact, it is their show all the way in the movie. Anushka, who did not have much scope in the first installment, has got more screen presence in part 2. She looks very glamorous and she is sure to leave you spellbound with action scenes, say the viewers.
Unlike the first part, Tamanna has less screen presence, but she impresses you with her stunts in the climax of the movie. Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar have got decent screen presence in Baahubali 2 and they have delivered brilliant performances, which are also among the assets of the film.
Baahubali 2, which has been made with a whopping budget of Rs 250 crore, has rich production values, which are on par with Hollywood standards. VFX, songs, background score, cinematography, action choreography, dialogues, and editing are just mindblowing and they are far better than the first installment of the Baahubali.
The story is developed around Devasena is so engaged and exciting. Keeravani’s music composition is made extraordinary and minds blowing to hear. The war scenes are made marvelously which is astounding.
