‘Vaigai Puyal’ Vadivelu after a brief hiatus was seen in Yuvaraj Dayalan’s Tenaliraman early in the year. There were various speculations on his next project after this.
However, putting all those theories aside, Vadivelu has announced that he will be joining Yuvaraj once again as the hero in a film that will be based on the events during the 1970s revolution in Chennai when Western culture was being introduced to the city.
The film will be bankrolled on behalf of Oho Pictures by G. Ramkumar and will have Imman’s music, Gopi Amarnath’s camera work, Thotta Tharani’s set design and Raja Mohammed’s editing. The film is set to go on floors in September with a pooja on Vadivelu’s birthday.
Sources say that the film will belong to a new genre with a new look which will showcase Chennai during those days.
