Actress Nazriya Nazim’s rise from the chirpy little TV anchor to one of the most happening actresses happened almost overnight, after the success of Neram. She has a number of projects lined up now, with some of the leading stars of Kollywood and Mollywood…
How has life changed after Neram?
Nothing has changed really, except that I am getting more film offers, and that people have started looking at me as a heroine, rather than as a child artist. Earlier, I used to take everything lightly. Now, I feel I am being taken seriously and so, feel more responsible.
How do you feel about all the adulation on social networking sites?
I guess that’s all part of being in the show business. Of course, it makes me happy. It shows that the audience has accepted me. It is a bit scary too, as they have accepted me so fast with just one film. Expectations are high on me, and I fear at times whether I will be able to fulfil those expectations in my upcoming films. But I want to do my best, that’s all.
