The on-going protests by the supporters of Telengana and those opposed to the creation of this new State have benefited our own Vijay whose Anna (the Telugu-dubbed version of Thalaivaa) has now got more screens to release that it was to get originally. The film is hitting the screens the day-after-tomorrow on Ramzan along with the film’s original Tamil version.
While people residing in the Telangana region are obviously happy at the Centre’s decision to carve out Telangana State by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh, there are others who oppose this decision which has resulted in widespread protests across the State. In the melee, the release of ‘power star’ Pawan Kalyan’s August 9 release Attarintiki Daaredi has now been postponed. The film was also to release on 09th August.
The makers of the Pawan Kalyan-starrer apparently felt it won’t be wise to release the film amid these protests. As such, the much-awaited clash between Pawan and Vijay at the box-office is now off. As a result of the postponement of the release of Pawan’s film, Vijay’s Anna has now got as many as 300 theatres in Andhra,20 screens in the USA.
Vijay’s fans must be thanking the lucky stars which have helped the star’s Telugu-dubbed version of Thalaivaa release in many halls.
