Actress Yami Gautam who shot to fame in Telugu with Allu Sirish‘s Gouravam has turned down a rare offer that has come her way. It’s the role of female lead in a film which was inspired from her real-life incident!
Apparently, Ravi Babu made the suspense thriller ‘Avunu’ which went on to become a big hit, considering the low-budget of the film. At the time of release, the director openly declared that the story was inspired by Yami Gautam.
Notably, Yami Gautam played the female lead in Ravi Babu’s comedy flick ‘Nuvvila’. During the shoot of this film, the actress revealed a scary experience she came across in Mumbai. When she moved to a new flat, Yami found out some strange and scary things have been happening in her room and she immediately vacated it. Later, she came to know that lot of tragic incidents took place in that flat and the place was said to be haunted.
Immediately, Ravibabu has decided to make a feature film based on this story and that’s how ‘Avunu’ happened. For the Hindi version, The director wants to cast an actress who is more popular among the North Indians. He felt Yami Gautam will be an ideal choice and approached her, but much to his surprise she refused the project. Seems like the actress don’t want to recollect those scary incidents yet again. In a way, she missed the opportunity to star in film inspired by her real life story.
