Actresses making a foothold down South testing waters in Bollywood and shifting their base after achieving a good amount of success isn’t a new thing to happen. And now, Shruti Hassan is doing exactly the same.
To a question on if she is more inclined to do South films as she hasn’t had a single Hindi release in the last four years after making her debut with ‘Luck‘ (2009), Shruti denied following any strategy nor avoiding Hindi Film Industry.
The actress maintained that she looks at Hindi, Telugu, Tamil films as Indian cinema. She claimed to be busy with commitments in South until now and so the delay, but promised to sign more Hindi projects from now.
Two of Shruti Hassan‘s upcoming Bollywood films (D-Day, Ramayya Vastavaiya) have been releasing on the same day (July 19th). However, the beauty isn’t bothered about having two Hindi releases in one day and clarifies it’s the concern of the producers. She is confident of winning accolades for her performance in both the films as they are very strong characters.
While she plays a Karachi-based prostitute in ‘D-Day’, we will be seeing a girl-next-door girl in ‘Ramayya Vastavaiya‘. If these two projects hits the bull’s eye, Telugu filmmakers will have a tough time acquiring the call sheets of this multi-talented actress.
