Actress Jiah Khan commits suicide!
Bollywood actor Jiah Khan has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Juhu, Mumbai late Monday night, police said.
According to the police, her maid, watchman and neighbours are being interrogated to find out her last visitors.
Jiah’s mother and sister had gone out and she was alone at the house when the incident happened, police said.
“Jiah’s mother and sister found her hanging when they returned at around 11 pm,” police said, adding that Jiah used her dupatta to hang herself.
Police said postmortem of the body will be conducted on Tuesday and they have registered a case of accidental death.
Police are yet to record the statement of the actor’s mother as she is in shock.
The 25-year-old actor made her acting debut in the controversial Ram Gopal Varma‘s Nishabd where she acted opposite Amitabh Bachchan.
Upon its release in March 2007, the film received mixed reviews, but Jiah was noted for her confidence, attitude, and sex appeal. She also got a Filmfare Best Debutant Nomination.
Later she appeared as a supporting actor in Sajid Khan‘s multi starrer comedy Housefull (2010). This was her last film.
Too young to go – Bollywood mourns Jiah Khan’s death
The “full of life” Nafisa alias Jiah Khan was “too young to go”, tweeted the “Nishabd” actress’ Bollywood colleagues, wondering what led the 25-year-old to take the extreme step of committing suicide.
The Britain-born actress was found hanging at her flat in Sagar Sangeet Building in the posh Juhu area of northwest Mumbai around midnight. Having made her Hindi film debut in 2007 opposite Amitabh Bachchan in the controversial “Nishabd”, she went on to feature in films like “Ghajini” and “Housefull”.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan called the news “unbelievable”, while actress Dia Mirza, who was among the firsts to tweet about Jiah’s death, posted: “This is no way to go”.

Masaba’s wish to dress Jiah remains unfulfilled
Masaba Gupta is in a state of grief after the sudden demise of Nafisa alias Jiah Khan as the young designer had plans to design for the late actress soon.
“God bless you. We will meet in another life until then stay blessed. Spoke to Jiah two months back and I promised I would dress her soon. I don’t know what it was that was more important than her life. RIP,” tweeted Masaba who was also creative head of brand Satya Paul.
Jiah, who debuted in Bollywood opposite Amitabh Bachchan in “Nishabd“, committed suicide at her residence in Mumbai’s Juhu area, police said Tuesday. She was 25.
The Britain-born actress was found hanging at her flat in Sagar Sangeet building in the posh Juhu area of northwest Mumbai around midnight. The cause of the suicide is not yet clear, police said, adding that autopsy reports were awaited.

News of her death was first reported by actress Dia Mirza through a social networking site around 1.45 a.m. The body of the actress was taken to the Cooper Hospital in Vile Parle Monday night and later shifted to JJ Hospital in Byculla.
