A couple of days ago, a twitter handle, @maiamkhassan, claiming to be that of Kamal Hassan’s, created a curiosity among his fans and many started to welcome him. However, the Ulaga Nayagan’s PRO has now confirmed that it is a fake account created by some mischief monger.
The fans were had believed it to be an original account only because Kamal Hassan an official page on Facebook that is handled by his ‘Maiam’ team.
Since the twitter handle was @maiamkhassan, the fans started following the account thinking it is the star himself on twitter. Among the fans were few stars as well such as SS Rajamouli, Shekhar Kapur, Nani and Khushboo who were happy about Kamal Hassan’s presense in twitter but have got fooled. SS Rajamouli welcomed Kamal tweeting “A warm welcome to ulaganayagan @maiamkhassan to the crazy world of twitter…!!!! Wonderful to have you here sir.”
Shekhar Kapur tweeted “@maiamkhassan 2 many fake accounts going around, and ur presence here is causing huge excitement.Please get ur account verified for ur fans” Nani tweeted with enthusiasm “Welcome to the twitter world kamal sir @maiamkhassan .. It’s going to be a great learning experience for all of us now.”
Khushboo posted “A hearty welcome to @maiamkhassan to the beautiful warm n mad world of twitter..Sir nice to have u here… Nakhat.” But Kamal Hassan’s publicist has confirmed that the star is not on Twitter. He added that legal action would be initiated on the fraudster for trying to cheat Kamal Hassan’s fans and well-wishers across the globe.
