Teenager Nazriya Nazim is easily one of the most widely-discussed about actress in recent times. The Thiruvananthapuram-born actress has done a few films in Malayalam, debuted as heroine in Tamil with last week’s release in Neram (which was simultaneously made in Malayalam too).
She has a few more films on hand in Tamil in Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah with Jai, Raja Rani with Aarya and Naiyaandi opposite Dhanush.
The pretty and talented Nazim has got excellent reviews from the critics and movie-goers for her performance in Neram and appears to be having it in her to enjoy a long and successful tenure in Tamil films.
Critics feel that she might even turn out to be as successful as Asin and Nayantara, her predecessors from Kerala, who had made it to the list of front line actresses in Tamil. And soon it expected Nazriya would be challenging Hansika Motwani in Tamil films.
Hansika Motwani, meanwhile, is going steady with the maximum number of films on hand among heroines in Tamil and Telugu.
Hansika Motwani, who debuted in Tamil films only a couple of years back, was quick enough to realize that unless she learnt Tamil, it would be difficult for her to survive in Kollywood. Now she has brushed up her Tamil to a great extent and had a successful release in the recent hit film Settai. She has Surya’s Singam-2 and Sundar C’s Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru opposite Siddharth releasing in the next couple of weeks.
Let’s see whether Nazim is able to upset the applecart of Hansika Motwani in the days to come!
