It was reported some time back that the shooting schedule of Vijay’s upcoming film Thalaivaa directed by AL Vijay has been wrapped up and that the makers are aiming to release the film on the eve of Vijay’s birthday falling on 22nd June.
Thalaivaa has many firsts to it: Amala Paul is paired opposite Vijay, GV Prakash Kumar scores the music of a Vijay-starrer and the Vijay-Vijay combination will be spotted on screen for the first time. Most of the shooting has been held in Mumbai and the film’s post-production work has begun in right earnest now.
Director AL Vijay, who has the habit of hero-worshipping all his heroes, has termed his hero Vijay as the ‘superstar’ of the present generation. The directors comments, however, have not answered the question that who would be the next superstar of Kollywood after superstar Rajnikanth.
ALVijay had praised Vikram sky-high during the making of Thandavam and Deivathirumagal.
AL Vijay also revealed that he was so ‘immersed’ in Vijay’s acting in certain sequences that he would at times forget to say ‘cut’ after the sequence ended (come on, there ought to be a limit for everything!). He further added that huge crows accumulated to watch the shoot of the film in Mumbai and he was really surprised that Vijay could have so many fans in Mumbai.
