Not often beauty and brains go hand-in-hand in women. We have witnessed many occasions when a pretty woman turns out to be so dumb in the brains department and vice-versa.
Actress-playback singer Andrea Jeremiah, who is a rare combination of beauty and brains, is all set to portray an investigating journalist in her upcoming film titled as Puthiya Thiruppangal.
Saradha Ramanathan, who made the critically acclaimed Sringaram, directs Andrea in the film which has Nanda essaying the male lead opposite Andrea. Punjabi girl Surveen Chawla is the other heroine in the film. The script of Puthiya Thiruppangal is said to be based on Children trafficking. Saradha has entrusted Andrea by saddling her with the all-important role of an investigating official.
Though Andrea might not like it, not many producers and directors seem to prefer her to be a part of their film in any acting capacity. Saradha says child-abduction is the second largest crime committed across the globe and refers to a news item which claims that every hour, as many as 1,000 children are abducted all over the world. Andrea goes deep into the conspiracy to abduct children and has done a fair enough job.
“Andrea immediately agreed to do the film once she came to know of the script’s contents. The film might as well turn out to be the most important film in her career,” says Saradha and adds that the sizzling Andrea has done a very neat job.
