Actress Aarushi confessed that she could hardly carry a kudam(Water container) filled with water placed on her hips during the shoots of the film Adithalam.
The audio-launch of the film, which stars Angaadi Theru Mahesh opposite Aarushi, was held in the city yesterday. Adithalam is directed by Ilangannan who had made the Arjun–Simran starrer Ottran in the past.
Speaking at the event, Aarushi said “ I never have done any cleaning or cooking till day. But during the shoot of Adithalam When I was asked to lift a Kudam filled water, I tried hard but couldn’t carry it my hips. Actually When I started shooting for the film, I was not narrated the entire script but instead was told I had to wear a dirty-looking saree and apply a ‘dull make-up’ to hide my actual complexion . Only at the end of first day’s shoot properly was I narrated the full script.
“Had I done something at the kitchen in my house, I would not have felt the way I felt on that day. But during the shooting I managed to clean and tidy up a small thatched-room and even washed the utensils. But somehow I could not handle the kudam lifting sequence as the Kudam would not somehow sit on my hips.
“If I concentrated on Kudam, I’d forget my dialogues; but at the end of shooting I managed to pull it off. I’m sure the hard-work I and others have put in would bear fruits,” concluded Aarushi.
Producer-director S.A. Chandrasekhar , released the film’s audio which was fittingly accepted by construction workers as the film’s script is based on their lives.
Mahesh, music director Taj Noor, lyricist Na. Muthukumar, cinematographer Sreeram and Ilangannan were among the others who attended the audio launch.
