After a brief silence following few health issues, Superstar Rajnikanth is all set to arrive with his new movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’ and this is being dubbed into Telugu as ‘Vikrama Simha’.
The discussion now is about the man who took the Telugu rights. His name is B. Subrahmanyam and he is famous in the dubbed films field.
It is heard that Subrahmanyam has dubbed over thirty films from Hollywood, Kollywood including ‘Skyfall’ ‘Battleship’ ‘Aparachitudu’ etc and made good money.
Now, he has gone ahead and purchased ‘Vikrama Simha’ for a whopping Rs 30 crores, as per sources.
This is a new record in dubbed films.
The film is expected in June/July.
Sharing his thoughts, Subrahmanyam reportedly revealed he got appreciation from Rajnikanth for taking the movie and identifying its potential. It is heard that Rajnikanth briefed him about the motion capture technology and how films like ‘Avatar’ spent Rs 1000 crores for this while ‘Kochadaiyaan’ was made with just one-tenth of that budget. Subrahmanyam is confident that given the Rajini mania this is going to be a money spinner at the box office.
