Shilpa Motion Works, a new production house, has launched Madisaar Maami as its maiden production.
Produced with a huge budget the film has Mithun and Mansi in lead roles. Mithun has starred in films such as Sanda, Ullam and Magane Marumagane, Mansi starred in Harikumar’s Thiruththam.
Others in the cast include Raviprakash, Rishi Boodhani, Mumbai Gayathri and Puneet Issar (who played with aplomb Gaurav prince Duryodhana in the epic serial Mahabharat a couple of decades back). LV Ganesan is the music director while Kapil K. Gautham takes care of the film’s cinematography. The trio of Pazhanibarathy, Muthu Vijayan and Yugabarathy would be penning the lyrics.
Besides starring in the film, Raviprakash also pens the film’s story and dialogues. Ranjit Bose would be the film’s director who also doubles up as the script-writer. Ranjit and Ravi got talking about the film recently. “Mithun, who plays a priest at a temple, nurses a strong desire to become a millionaire in future. He gets married to Mansi and in his effort to get a ‘baby boy’, he ends up as a father of five girl children.
“A soothsayer confuses Mithun saying his fifth daughter would spell doom for him. Mithun tries his best to get rid of the child .One fine day the child disappears, he is shocked and goes in search of the child. Ultimately, the girl turns out to be his lucky mascot. Madisaar Maami would depict the strong emotional bonding between a father and his daughter,” concludes the duo.
