A complete dedication and expression of gratitude towards the film industry seems to be the inevitable talk of Kodambakkam now.
Last evening, there was a special media session hosted by South Indian Film Chamber pertaining to the INDIAN CINEMA CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS. Marking the 100 years of Indian Cinema, the association has decided to organize a grand celebration on July 12, 13 & 14 at Nehru Indoor Stadium and YMCA respectively.
During this occasion, 100 most prominent celebrities of South Indian industry (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam) will be honoured for their earnest contribution to the film industry.
During the media interaction, the committee unveiled the happy news about actors Surya and Karthi contributing a whopping amount of Rs.1Crore to the South Indian Film Chamber in accordance to the celebration plans that is scheduled in July.
It is not alone their kind gesture, but the brother actors have furthermore enchanted everyone by making a request to mark the name of their parents (Sivakumar & Lakshmi) for the contributors’ name.
On July 12, the film personalities from Tamil and Malayalam industry will be felicitated followed by Telugu and Kannada on July 13. The celebration will get bigger on July 14as some of the most eminent personalities like Pranabh Mukherji and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha will grace over the occasion.
One of the highlighting factors about this occasion is the South Indian Film Chamber in association with Indian Film Federation planning to bring in chart-topping Hollywood actors and technicians to take part in this celebration.
The committee has appointed K Balachandar as In-charge of Tamil Nadu, Sasikumar for Kerala, Vijayakumar for Karnataka and Bharadwaj for Andhra Pradesh.
