Actress Trisha has filed a complaint with the Nadigar Sangam against the producer of her latest Tamil film, Samar (which released for Pongal and didn’t do much magic at the box-office) stating that he has not paid her dues of Rs.5 lakhs. Trisha’s filing such a complaint hasn’t amused the producer, who is already hard-hit by the film’s no-show.
T. Ramesh, the film’s producer, is said to have packed his things and gone back to his native place following the bitter experience the industry gave him. It may be recalled that Vishal, who played Trisha’s hero in the film, had also filed a similar complaint with the Sangam soon after the film’s release in theatres early this year. Vishal had complained, he was not paid Rs.75 lakhs due to him. But Ramesh showed proof of he had in total paid Rs 4 Crores to Vishal, that is Rs 25 lakhs more than what is in the agreement.
Ramesh, who is very close to a leading Tollywood bigwig, is capable of pumping even Rs.100 crores into a film’s making if he is convinced about the script’s strength. However, due to the many bitter experiences he had to endure during the making of the film, he has reportedly decided not to react to Trisha’s complaint. The Sangam has reportedly told Trisha to wait till Ramesh makes his next film.
Irrespective of an actress/actor’s stature in the industry, it is abundantly clear all are behind grabbing every possible penny!!!
