Saraswathi Sabatham’s creative posters
The two posters are very creative and interesting ad which shows the influence of social media, and how today’s youth think, that the answer for anything and everything can be found in Google. In fact one of the ads has a question typed on Google page – Please Google show me ‘where is God’. From the posters itself it is clear that the movie is going to be a laugh riot.
Protest against title ‘Saraswathi Sabatham’ to upcoming flick
Saraswathi Sabatham’, starring Sivaji Ganesan was released in 1966. Fans of Sivaji Ganesan have raised voice in protest against giving the same title to upcoming flick starring Jai.
Regarding the issue, KVP Bhoominathan, head of Sivaji Ganesan Fan Club, has released statement
Saraswathi Sabatham‘ turned out a wonderful classic starring Sivaji Ganesan. Giving the title to another movie is like disrespecting those artistes who did the movie. Already, we protested against Vivek doing role of Appar that Sivaji Ganesan did. The title Saraswathi Sabatham‘ should not be given to the upcoming flick. If they do not heed our demand and give the title, we would lay siege on actor Jai‘s house and actor Sathyan‘s house.
Chandrasekaran, head of Sivaji Social Welfare Association, released statement
Titles of mythical and historical movies done by Sivaji Ganesan should not be given for upcoming flicks. We do not protest against giving title Uthama Puthiran, Gouravam, Iruvar Ullam. We protested against giving title Thiruvilaiyaadal‘ to recent movie. They changed the title to Thiruvilaiyaadal Aarambam‘.
Now, title Saraswathi Sabatham’ has been given to upcoming flick. In temple festivals, the dialogues from the Sivaji Starrer are still being played. Giving the title to romance and comedy movies disrespects Hindu deities and Sivaji Ganesan. So, we would go for court action such that title is changed’.
