Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Thalaivaa’s teaser released moments ago online amidst fervent anticipation from his legions of fans. The production house locked 11.30 a.m as the time of release for the teaser and more or less lived up to it.
The first impression of the teaser is its understated nature. The other highlights of the 48 second clipping are the picturesque camera work by Nirav Shah and GV Prakash Kumar’s crescendo building background score that rises powerfully from its quiet soliloquy nature.
The visuals also establish the setting of the film, which is in Mumbai as Vijay is seen looking over the Arabian Sea in an introspective mode, possibly before taking a crucial decision that will alter the course of his future. All in all, the teaser sets the tone for the film quite effectively.
Thuppaki leads the ‘Battle Royale’ on the tube
The lineup of movies to be screened on television on Tamil New Year’s Day, the 14th of April, is impressive to say the least. While Vijay’s 2012 Diwali blockbuster, Thuppakki, will be screened on Vijay TV, Surya – KV Anand’s ambitious Maattrraan will be screened on Jaya TV. Sun TV isn’t behind either as 2012’s fantasy revenge saga, Naan Ee, has been slotted for screening. Simbu’s Podaa Podi is also in the loop as Vijay TV will be airing it on this very same day.
Viewers are sure to have a nice time switching between channels and catching up with all these awesome movies. What’s your choice?
