In fact, the film’s on-going shooting schedule in Australia didn’t allow Vijay to take part in the day-long protest fast organizd by the Nadigar Sangam in Chennai last Tuesday (02nd April).
Vijay, however, informed Sarathkumar (president of Nadigar Sangam) in writing of his inability to attend the fast as he was away in Australia. Directed by AL Vijay, Thalaivaa has both the Vijay’s coming together for the first time and it is also the first time that Vijay is paired up opposite Amala Paul. Another first in the film is that GV Prakash Kumar would be scoring music for a Vijay-starrer for the first time in his career.
As per the script, the sequences which are being shot now include Amala Paul’s efforts in bringing Vijay to Tamil Nadu from Australia. The crew shot some sequences at the Darling Harbour locality where a song featuring Vijay in solo-dancing mode was also screened. The crew also shot at the famous ‘Spice of Life’ restaurant at Easter Park for some days.
In between the shoots, Vijay also obliges the request from his fans who recognize him and come to him for getting themselves photographed with him.
