The multi-narrative thriller Chennaiyil Oru Naal is presently seated, as a fairly successful release of this year. Aimed at illuminating the audience on the cause of organ donation, it received rave reviews from critics recently. Directed by a debutante Shaheed Khader it is certainly a big achievement in his first attempt.
He had previously mentioned the original Malayalam flick – Traffic, which inspired Chennaiyil Oru Naal was painstakingly put together after three years of brainstorming on the script. Call it his lottery ticket to success, there is no doubt that Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar his wife Radhika, Prasanna, Parvathi Menon, Iniya, Jayaprakash, and Surya improvised their lines to perfection for this thriller.
Declaring open the celebrations, is none other than our Thalaivaar Superstar Rajnikanth, who has been known to be a supportive of good deeds. As we know if cinema be the medium, he would be the first one to opine on the same!
As expected, after seeing the movie, Rajni remarked “It is so thoughtful of the cast and crew from Chennaiyil Oru Naal to bring out something socially relevant and responsible for our audience. Donating our organs after death can mean a lot to someone who is in dire need of it.”
