With Settai getting released tomorrow, check out what everyone in the film had to say.
Director Kannan: Doing a remake is no easy. We made enough changes to suit Tamil audience and all has come good.
Aarya: I was initially hesitant to do the film. But after reading the script by Kannan, I decided notto miss out the project. All is hilarious in the movie.
Hansika Motwani: The credit should o to my team. They made me feel at ease and Settai will be a movie to reckon with in my career.
Anjali: I play a television journalist. It was a novel and trendy role. Kannan managed to get the best out of me.
Premgi Amaran: Settai was all about being subtle. Kannan emphasised that there should be no overacting or loudness. So I guess I have essayed a Mani Ratnam type of character.
UTV Motion Pictures Settai is all set to hit the screens on 5 April. Directed by Kannan, the movie stars Arya, Hansika, Santhanam, Anjali, Premgi and Nasser in key roles. Music is by Thaman.
The film is special to Santhanam, since for the first time his name will appear in the credits list as dialogue writer. Neetu Chandra has shot a special number with Santhanam, Aarya and Premgi Amaran.
The film is set in Mumbai and throws light on some of the lighter aspects of a journalist’s life with its racy dialogues.
The movie is an inspiration of Hindi Hit Delhi Belly. Says Kannan, ‘we have made changes to suit all age-groups in Tamil. It has come really good and can be enjoyed with the whole family’.
Kannan thanked UTV for giving him enough liberties and expressed confidence that it will make it big among the masses.
Aarya, Anjali and Hansika Motwani are upbeat about the movie’s prospects at the box office.
