While there has been a great buzz over the sharing screen space of ‘two eyes’ of Tamil film industry- Kamal Hassan and Superstar Rajnikanth, the duo finally came together and made fans delighted. But they came together to support a protest against Sri Lanka. Not just both, there’s more to this as who’s who of Tamil film industry have joined their forces in support to protest against ‘war crimes’ on Tamils in Sri Lanka.
Stalwarts like Rajnikanth, Ajith, Kamal Hassan, Sarathkumar, Vijay Kumar, Prakash Raj, Arjun and many more on Tuesday joined the members of the South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA) in a day-long fast at T-Nagar in Chennai. Even young actors like Surya, Karthi, Bharath, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Dhansika, Monica and Vishal were present.
However, there were no mikes and no speeches as they observed a silent protest. Moreover, theatres in the city on Tuesday were shut due to this protest.
Loyola College students end Nadigar Sangam fasting
It’s been a memorable day in the pages of Tamil film fraternity as the members of South Indian Film Artistes Association took part as a family in the fasting against the atrocities of Eelam Tamilians in Srilanka. Everyone from the industry including Superstar Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan, Ajith, Surya, Karthi, Silambarasan, Dhanush and many others have made it a point of gracing over this occasion.
With the fasting coming to an end in a few minutes, Loyola College students Britto and Dhanasekar, who hit the headlines for continuously fasting for the same reason last month will give juice to the actors and end fast in few minutes.
