For the first time, Pandiraj and Yuvan Shankar Raja have come together and it’s already a sensational hit in the audio markets. Yes, ‘Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga’ starring Shivakarthikeyen, Vimal, Regina and Bhindu Madhavi in lead roles has already captured our senses for its scintillating teaser and best tunes… We bring you an exclusive music review into the songs.
The album opens with a refreshing note struck by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The music director keeps away from his usual paradigm of voice intonations and orchestrations, thereby spelling out a uniquely distinctive piece of work. The instrumentals in both interludes and preludes are done on par with excellence and so is the crooning by Velmurugan that is splendid.
Vocals: STR, Yuvan Shankar Raja
Lyrics: Na Muthukumar
It’s the anthem that will stand out forever in the hearts of so-called ‘FREQUENTERS OF SPIRIT‘, which has been generating huge waves from the time of its launch. The combo of Yuvan Shankar Raja and young superstar Silambarasan emblazons the song perfervidly. The lyrical lines by Na. Muthukumar is the major highlight of this song as everyone can start whispering the lines with it.
Vocals: Yuvan Shankar Raja
Yuvan always tries his best when it comes to tuning melodies and crooning them. It has been evident with his Chartbuster songs like ‘Pogathey‘ and ‘Vaanam‘. This time, this one goes the same way with mellisonant tune and a commendable intonation by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Listen to this song and you can make your heart lighter as it keeps you engrossed from beginning till end. It’s a fun-filled song with folk elements and the lyrical lines are mediocre. Sathyan gives the right feeling shifting his paradigms and keeps us elated from beginning till end.
Vocals: Vijay Yesudas
It looks like Yuvan Shankar Raja wanted to dedicate a song completely to his father and so is Vijay Yesudas. Of course, their fathers Ilayaraja and KJ Yesudas have rendered a stupendous number from beginning till now. This one is a beautiful song about dedication to father with the lyrical lines of Yugabharathi melting our hearts and the honeyed voice of Vijay Yesudas makes it more appealing.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has clearly understood the nature and theme of this film giving the best tunes in different musical genres. While ‘Oru Porambokku‘ has turned to be a bigger feast, the track ‘Dheivangal Ellaa‘ stands out as a melodious treat.
Verdict: Colossal work by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
