The Chennai High Court has directed the Tamil weekly magazine ‘Kumudam‘ not to publish any articles related to Lakshmi Rai until further orders were issued.
This is in response to the petition filed by actress against the tabloid which attributed certain remarks to her in it’s latest issue which hit the stands on February 27th.
As per the news item, Lakshmi Rai shared her room with co-star and film’s hero Vinay Rai. Getting into the details, the two Rai‘s have bonded well on the sets of their upcoming film ‘Onbadhula Guru‘ as they hail from the same state (Kerala).
While Vinay Rai was given a room at a lesser known hotel, Lakshmi Rai was allotted a room in star hotel. So, Vinay demanded a room in the same hotel where the actress has been staying. As all the rooms in that hotel were already booked, Lakshmi Rai offered to share her room with the hero.
Upset with the fake story which is a creation for the sake of improving circulation, Lakshmi Rai decided to take legal action and the court has delivered interim order stating that Kumudam should restrain from carrying any articles about the actress.
