While a couple of months is left for the theatrical release, the audio was launched recently. The film as is known earlier, a remake of Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly is directed by R Kannan and is produced by UTV Motion Pictures. Thaman has composed songs to the lyrical lines of Madhan Karky, Thamarai, Na. Muthkumar and Gaana Bala.
Singers: Vijay Prakash & Megha
Lyrics: Madhan Karky
This is a breezy loveable duet with the right kind of singers making it sound splendid. The song might not impress you for the first few times you listen, but grabs your attention during the later point of time. The rhythmic accompaniment in the track is an additional attraction.
Edhathaan Kanduttey Nee Pudhusa
Singers: Gaana Bala
Lyrics: Gaana Bala
It sounds like this song would be a raging hit in the audio markets for the catchy lyrics amongst the teenagers. Obviously, when you find the brand ‘Gaana Bala’ associated with a track that too on lyrics, it’s doubtless that the song is surely going to set our senses for a huge celebration.
Singers: Karthik and Suchitra
Yet another melodious tune from Thaman as he sets the mood with blissful tunes and picking a couple of wonderful singers Karthik and Suchitra.
Singers: Andrea Jeremiah
Lyrics: Na. Muthukumar
It’s going to be a sizzling treat on the screens with the entire bunch of lead actors Aarya, Santhanam and Premgi Amaran shaking legs with the hot and happening Neetu Chandra. Andrea Jeremiah exerts the best efforts in making the song sound bolder with her style of rendition. The bass works on the rhythm and sound mixing has been done very well.
Singers: Sricharan and Chinmayee
Lyrics: Madhan Karky
The romantic duet sounds pretty pleasant and gains our interests for the first time we hear it. Thanks to Thaman for keeping the music mild and giving more importance to the playback singers Sricharan and Chinmayee. With the engrossing visuals, the song should get more intensity to it.
Thamman doesn’t strain and effortlessly goes for the replication of ‘Bhaag DK Bose’ from the original version and the composition is completely as same as in ‘Delhi Belly’ with even the words like ‘Bhaag-Vodu’ having the similarities.
On the whole, Settai comprises of a couple of engrossing songs that include ‘Edhathaan Kanduttey’ and ‘Poyyum Poyyum’ while rest of the songs will take some time to brew up.
Verdict: Decent job by Thaman.
