The business of cinema is getting quite complicated and competent as days are passing by. Of course, there is never a comparison between Bollywood and Tollywood in terms of figures and collections because the former has a pan Indian market whereas Tollywood relies on domestic and overseas.
But this January 2013 is going to get bit different. If the estimations of the trade pundits are to go by then Tollywood might be beating Bollywood. The reason for that is two films ‘Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ and ‘Naayak’. It is heard that the buyers, distributors etc all have pumped in nearly Rs 100 crores on both films.
And now, it is heard that they have made plans to touch Rs 200 crores business through these two. In one month’s range it is possible in Bollywood, but will it work in Tollywood? That is the question. The hype and trend for both films is very positive but the only hiccup is they are releasing in just two days gap so it is sure to get divided first week collection but let us see what happens.
Kajal Agarwal Vs Amala Paul: Onscreen Vs Off Screen
When two heroines are almost on par with their demand and are working in the same film it is natural that comparisons will happen. Right now that is the case with the duo of Kajal Agarwal and Amala Paul. Apparently both are the leading ladies for the film ‘Naayak’ and a comparison is being drawn between both.
The general opinion is that Kajal is good looking not only onscreen but off the screen also she is very attractive. As for Amala, she is not so attractive off the screen but onscreen she is exceptionally photogenic. She has that face which appeals to the native masses in a large way.
Due to this factor, the buzz is that in ‘Naayak’ Amala might score big than Kajal. The lucky man to enjoy both the ladies is Ram Charan but we have to see who among the two will score better in terms of wooing the male audience to the theatres. This is going to be a crucial contest because Kajal is quite senior to Amala and she would not want any competition at this moment.
