David is one of the best films in my career so far and working with a filmmaker like Bijoy Nambiar was a relishing experience, says Chiyaan Vikram.
The highlight of the movie is that there would be two stories that would meet with a common end in the climax.
Speaking at the trailer launch of the movie in Chennai, Vikram said, ‘ it is one of my best till date. I play a fisherman from Goa. There is uniqueness and difference in the story. It was great being part of it’.
On his part, Jeeva said: ‘ I was nervous initially when I heard that it was shot in sync sound but slowly got used to it. It is a nice platform for me to portray my acting skills’.
Nasser also spoke about his experience working in the project.
Vikram, the fisherman
Actor Vikram is playing a 35-year-old fisherman in ‘David’, a Tamil-Hindi bilingual which is being directed by Bijoy Nambiar of ‘Shaitan‘ fame.
Sharing the screen space with him is Jeeva, who plays a musician. Interestingly, the name of the characters played by both Vikram and Jeeva is David.
“The film will present two different stories to the audience. One is about a fisherman and the other is about a musician. How the two stories meet towards the climax is the crux of Shaitan,” says Bijii.
Besides Vikram and Jeeva, the film has Tabu, Nassar, Isha Sharvani and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles. Based on the response to the Tamil and Hindi versions, the movie will be dubbed and released in Telugu.
