Neethaane En Ponvasantham is gearing up for a release and Jiiva is banking upon the movie to give him a success and forget his unimpressive Mugamoodi experience. Not only that, he has gone for a total makeover in the movie as he bids good bye to his rugged looks. We got up close with him to know a little more on his upcoming role. Here is an excerpt from the interview.
Hi Jiiva we are just a day away from the release. You look fabulous in the pre release edits of the movie. What do the girls have to say?
Haha, thank you, I have been receiving a lot of calls lately. But no one believes me when I say I am twenty nine.
Oh we are sure your mobile will be ringing frequently now that you have mentioned that. However, we would love to know a bit more on the glabrous guy in the movie.
Well he is Varun Krishnan. I cannot tell you more on him because there are so many things I am sure I will miss out on. You should watch the movie and tell me instead. All I can say is that it is a role I will cherish for a longtime to come. It is as romantic as my love story.
Wow, we promise you we have our tickets booked for the first show. This movie is a trilingual, have you taken a sneak peek into the Telugu version yet?
Well not really I never thought about that. I think it was enough for me that I could relate to the story in my own way. I am ahppy the final result has a shade of my experiences from my real life.
Oh! So we could expect a romantic Jiiva acting out his past experiences on screen. How was it working with your director Gautham Menon.
As you might have known by now I act out three stages of my life. It starts off with my schools days to the college and as a boy in his early 20’s. I loved enacting my college days. Gautham’s trust in Samantha and me was something special. We knew the dialogues and we delivered our best. On his part he made sure everything went smoothly.
We are glad that the movie will release soon. You said you loved the college scenes. Was there anything in particular?
Well, I don’t know it was just the way I felt that time. I definitely had a great time getting into the mind of a sixteen year old. It was a ball.
Thank you for your time, it was lovely talking to you and knowing Varun up close. We would have given your mobile number to all your female fans but your wife would certainly not like it.
Haha thank you.
Our best wishes for a successful run at the box office.
