These are the times when old movies are either being remade or released after digitization. Close on the heels of the success of ‘Karnan‘, a Sivaji Ganesan classic, K Balachander‘s ‘Ninaithale Inikkum‘ is now following the suit.
The highlight of the film is that it has Superstar Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan, the two biggest heroes of south India, as protagonists. The movie is all set to be released in digital format and an official announcement is expected soon.
“A huge amount was spent to convert the movie in digital format without any tampering to the original print. The output was good and finishing touches are being given currently,” sources say.
‘Ninaithale Inikkum‘ is a 1979 movie by K Balachander starring Kamal Hassan, Rajnikanth, Jayaprada, Geetha and Nakul. The film was also simultaneously shot in Telugu as ‘Andamaina Anubhavam‘. A large part of the movie was shot in Singapore.
Taking a step aside from the usual serious dramas that Balachander is known to direct, this film was an attempt at a light comedy with its music serving as the main attraction.
