Buxom babe Namitha has been trying everything else except weight reduction in her frantic efforts to retrieve lost ground in Tamil and Telugu films.
Not so long ago, Namitha’s name was on everybody’s lips and the tall and voluptuous actress was spotted regularly on big-screen. However, offers have started deserting her now for the past two years ever since her much-expected Jaganmohini bombed at the box-office.
Namitha’s tendency to put on oodles of flesh around her broad waist didn’t help her cause at all. Her efforts in renewing ties with directors who had earlier directed her didn’ bear any fruit as she slowly but surely fell out of favour with the producers and directors in Tamil and Telugu films. Her shift to small screen to host a reality dance show further alienated her from film-makers.
The former ‘Miss Surat’, however, didn’t lose heart and decided to stay put in Chennai instead of returning back to her native Gujarat. She found a novel way of passing time in Chennai by taking up the offer to inaugurate jewellery store, textile showrooms, etc. in Chennai and in other parts of the State and even in some foreign countries. Her pet word Machchaans which she uses to address her ardent fans is being ‘explored’ for its various meanings in Tamil!
Nami conculted her favourite astrologer and apparently acting on his advice, she went ahead and had a 27-star tattoo inscribed on her upper back, parallel to the left shoulder.
The astrologer reportedly asked her to go in for the 27-star tattoo which was likely to bring her ‘happy tidings’ and more films. Namitha immediately had
that area tattooed on her body, hoping that it would bring good luck to her sinking career.
Let’s wait to see whether the tattoos turn out to be lucky for Namitha!
