Vijay’s first film under the supervision of director A.R Murugadoss is being awaited with much anticipation by his fans who are aware of the abilities of A.R Murugadoss, who has delivered five consecutive super-duper hit films in Tamil and Hindi. Thuppaki, the film which brings together A.R Murugadoss and Vijay for the first time, has been shot extensively in Mumbai and other parts of the country.
Vijay, who has been working with A.R Murugadoss for the past few months, has described the latter as a ‘Mini Mani Ratnam’. “Watching A.R Murugadoss at work reminds me of the style of work of ace director Mani Ratnam. During the shoot of the film, I used to refer to him as ‘Mini Mani Ratnam’ for the sincerity and speed with which he works.
“Without an iota of doubt, Thuppaki would be a significant milestone in my career. All the credits for the film which would be bestowed on it when it hits the screen would belong only to A.R Murugadoss. I have merley followed his instructions and hope I have done a good job in the film,” says Vijay.
Commenting about his co-star Kajal Agarwal, Vijay says that while Kajal struggles with herself at the time of reading out the dialogues during the breaks, she does an excellent job when she is in front of the camera and reels off her dialogues almost in a single take. “She works hard and is bound to reach the top,” predicts Vijay.
