Billa 2 – Latest first look posters
No actor can ever hope to have the kind of fan-following and patronage like actor Ajith does even after disbanding and dissolving all the fans’ clubs operating in his name in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere. Last year, Ajith surprised his fans and industry watchers by calling for disbandment of all the fans’ clubs and urged the youths to do something useful for the sake of their family, neighbourhood and the country.
Even after the fans’ clubs were formally disbanded, the kind of ‘opening’ (ticket sales of the first 5-10 days) that Ajith’s latest film Mankatha received last year was mind-blowing, to say the least. That Mankatha went on to become the most successful film in the actor’s career is now history. Ajith is presently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film titled Billa-2.
The film is a sequel to his 2007 super-duper hit film Billa (remake of a super-hit film of the same title which starred Rajnikanth in 1980) but for all practical purposes, the script of Billa-2 won’t kick off from where Billa ended. Instead, Billa-2 seeks to unmask the actual story of the dreaded don Billa to find out the reasons behind what made a common man turn into one of the most feared dons.
The publicity posters of the film were released recently to the press. Ajith, as always sports a youthful look and is shown clad in a blood-stained shirt and holding a revolved aiming at somebody. The title comes with a tag which reads thus: ‘Every man has a past and every don has a history’. This has upped the expectations about the film among the fans of the star.
The film pairs former beauty queen Parvathy Omanakuttan opposite Ajith in her debut film as heroine in Tamil films. Besides Parvathy, the film also has Brazilian beauty Bruna Abdullah vying for honours.
Directed by Chakri Toleti, the film would have music be Yuvan Shankar Raja.
