The 54th Grammy Awards ceremony that’s being held today pays its rich tributes to the deceased Pop Diva Whitney Houston. Singer and film artist Jennifer Hudson will lead the team of international music stars in remembering the talented pop star.
Pop and R&B singer was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel room, in a bath tub, on Saturday afternoon in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California. She was 48. The cause of her death is not known. But, Police suspect an overdose of medication for anxiety could be the cause of her death. Whitney, once a reigning queen of international music in the 80s and the 90s, was slowly ruined by alcohol and drugs. She was to perform in the ongoing Grammy Awards function and even the previous day she was rehearsing with her junior singers Brandy and Monica.
The LA County Coroner’s office said that the autopsy on Whitney’s body is completed and the results are put on hold for the results of Toxicology test.
Whitney Houston, one of the best selling artists, was holding the Guinness Book of Records for winning the most number of awards by any female artist in the world. She has won more than 415 career Awards including 2 Emmys, 6 Grammys, 30 Billboard Music Awards and 22 American Music Awards.
The Pop Diva took music as her passion and career inspired by her family members who were known singers when she was young. She began her singing act at the age of 11 doing gospels in a church. She joined her mother to sing in night clubs and was spotted by a record studio and became an international star winning multiple record titles.
