Sexy Sona has again gotten into trouble with a film-maker. She has filed a complaint of cheating against producer T. Siva with the Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TPFC). Late last year, Sona accused playback singer-cum-producer S.P Charan, son of legendary playback singer SPB, of ‘harrssing’ and attempting to rape her at a party organized by Vaibhav to mark the success of Venkat Prabhu’s Mankatha.
Following her complaint, SPB spoke to her in person and it was after great persuasion that Sona suddenly withdrew her complaint against S.P Charan saying that she had ‘apologized’ him for his unruly behaviour. Reports sad that many ‘behind-the-scene’ activities had taken place which led to the actress taking back her complaint against S.P Charan.
Some time back, Sona produced a film titled Kanomozhi which starred Jai and Shazahn Padamsee in the lead. The film turned out to be an absolute disaster at the box-office resulting in loss of a few crores to Sona. In her complaint filed with the Council, she has said, “I produced Kanimozhi along with T. Siva a few years back. T Siva is in possession of the film’s remake and dubbing rights in many other languages.
“However, without seeking my permission, he has sold off the Kannada dubbing rights of the film to producer Nageswara Rao. This is a clear act of breach of agreement between us. I, therefore, request the Council to kindly look into the matter and take appropriate action against T Siva,” Sona’s complaint says.
