Music director Harris Jayaraj is always known for repeating the same tunes and copycatting the tunes from various English albums and Tamil devotional songs. It is worth mentioning that Paartha Mudhal Naale is a rip from Christian devotional song Aaviyaanavare Thooya Aaviyaanavare. Most of the songs in Unnale Unnale, Bheema are ripped from various albums of the west.
The recent release Nanban might be doing greater rounds in audio markets. But what’s so disappointing is that Harris Jayaraj has used some cheap tactics.
The song ‘Irukaana Ilayaana’ has a chorus rendered by bunch of girls, where Harris Jayaraj unveiled that they rendered the song in gargling effect. Just listen to the chorus in interlude. It is nothing but Nama Chivaaya Nama Chivaaya Om Nama Chivaaya.
Just listen to the opening lines of Nalla Nanban couple of times, retain the tune in your memory and then play Hosanna from Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya En Idhayam Udaithaai Norungave…
So pathetic to see such works from the leading music director….
