UTV Motion Pictures executive producer Dhananjayan had sought an apology to Tamil Film Director’s Assoiciation following an article by him which reportedly degraded Tamil film directors.
In the article, Dhananjayan has allegedly written bad about Bala, Mani Ratnam and Mysskin among others. Angered by his remarks, the association had sought an apology and announced that unless he doesn’t seek pardon, they will not co-operate with him. Many office-bearers of the association including Cheran and Ameer had called Dhananjayan and expressed their displeasure in harsh words.
Eventually Dhananjayan had written a letter seeking apology regretting his words and said he would not repeat this in future on 14 November. A huge posse of media men were waiting to catch his glimpse, but he managed to give them a slip.
Though he had expressed his apology, his recent utterances and acts in public functions has incurred wrath of many in the film industry.
