Actor Kamal Hassan has a unique technique to keep his paunch under control. The 58-year old star, widely considered by many to be among the best 5 actors in the country, has his own ways of pumping it out in the gym and exercising regularly to keep his shape. He also has an unique technique, it is learnt, to ensure that his paunch doesn’t go beyond manageable limits.
Kamal Hassan once possessed the most enviable physique in the industry during the eighties and flaunted it gamely in many of his movies. In the wrong side of the fifties, though, the actor has to watch what he eats, drinks and does to make his body obey his commands.
Kamal Hassan’s technique is simple enough: whenever he puts on his shoes, he makes it a point to tie up the laces without folding his knees. He does bend his back all the way and stays in the position for a few seconds till he completes tying up the laces. If he feels any trouble in tying up the laces or feels short of breath, he would know that his paunch had developed a little.
For the next two days, the actor-par-excellence would go on strict dieting. He would reduce all the fat and cholesterol content in his food for the next two days to bounce back in shape.
