It is well known in Kollywood and south Indian cinema circles that Vikram is one of the finest actors in town.
His last release Deiva thirumagal was a big hit as well as critically acclaimed. After Rajapattai is released Vikram will be seen in Karikalan. Interestingly two cities of Chola dynasty are being recreated for this movie. The film is directed by special effects expert LI Kannan. “The port city of Kaveripoompattinam and the business hub Uraiyur are carefully being recreated,”Kannan said.
Experts have been roped in to give information on books and technology. Audiences will be taken to the era of Karikala Cholan, which dates back to more than 2000 years, Kannan revealed. Karikalan is like Alexander. He was brave, charming and very interesting,” he adds.
“I am lucky to have Parthi and Vasan as my producers. They don’t mind shelling out money as all they expect is a quality product. And I must thank Vikram, for none other than him could bring Karikala Cholan alive on screen. He is simply superb,” the director says.
It is said that Karikalan will set new standards in Kollywood as far as special effects are concerned. Kannan has earlier done special works in Enthiran.
