Things are getting bigger each passing day for ‘7am Arivu‘. With seven days to go for the film’s release, reservations have started all over the world today.
“Normally a film’s bookings will open three or four days before its release. But the reservations for 7am Arivu have started a week before the release date. This is part of producer Udhayanidhi Stalin‘s aggressive marketing strategies,” say trade sources.
In the film directed by A.R Murugadoss, Surya appears as a Buddhist Monk and a trapezium artiste and Shruti Hassan makes her acting debut in Tamil. The flick has been given a clean U certificate by the censor board.
Harris Jayaraj‘s music and Ravi K Chandran’s cinematography are the movie’s added strengths, says A.R Murugadoss. “7am Arivu will make each and every Tamilian to be proud of themselves,” he adds.
On his part, Surya says, “It is a take-off of history, that of Bodhi Dharma, a Buddhist monk who hailed from Kanchipuram. Son of a Pallava king in the 6th century, he later became a monk and preached the teachings of Buddha.”
“He is still worshipped in China and other parts of the world. But we in India, especially Tamil Nadu, are not even aware of him. Hopefully 7am Arivu would bridge the gap,” he adds
