It won’t be an under-statement to say that actor Aadhi has put in his ‘best performance’ as on date in his upcoming film Aravaan. The film is being directed by Vasanthabalan who brought to the fore the pathetic lifestyles of salesmen and sales girls working in major textile stores with the striking Angaadi Theru last year. The film not only turned out to be a commercial success but won him and actress Anjali (who played the female lead in the film) many accolades from the critics and the print and television media.
The bespectacled Vasanthabalan is presently in the finishing stages of making Aravaan, a period-type film set several centuries back. Dhansika of Peraanmai fame is paired opposite Aadhi in the film. Though Aadhi has starred in a handful of films, nothing other than Arivazhagan’s Eeram clicked at the box-office for him. As such, Aadhi is earnestly hoping that Aravaan would turn the tide in his favour.
Known for his meticulous planning and not missing out on even minute details, Vasanthabalan has been making the film for the past one-and-a-half years. For his role in the film, Aadhi has undergone a complete change in looks to resemble a human who lived in the time which is cited as the backdrop of the film. Vasanthabalan had erected huge and expensive sets where the shooting has taken place so far.
The dubbing portions are all set to start soon and a grand audio-launch is also being planned, it is informed. In Aadhi’s own words, “I have undergone great transformation vis-a-vis my looks in the film and hope this would be a milestone film in my career which would bring me fame and hopefully more film offers!”
