The film has been purchased by a leading Tamil distributor in Bangalore and distributed through Divya Pictures Ravi for a whopping price.
The market buzz is that 7am Arivu Kerala rights have been sold at an astronomical Rs 2.50 Crore, the highest ever paid for a Surya film in the state.

Divya Pictures is planning to release 7aum Arivu in 100 screens in Kerala for Dewali. It is going to be an interesting battle in Kerala as Tamil hero’s Vijay’s Velayutham and Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One will be clashing with 7am Arivu.
Surya and I can’t do for the next 5 years – A.R Murugadas
A.R Murugadoss has said that neither Surya nor he could make a film like 7am Arivu for the next five years. Elaborating on this, the director said that there is so much of hard work involved in the making of 7am Arivu and they cannot think of working so hard at least for the next five years.
A.R Murugadoss had three scripts ready for Surya and it was the star that chose the 7am Arivu script because he wanted to reach the pinnacle with his acting. 7am Arivu is expected to further up Surya’s already soaring star status when it is released this Dewali.
