Actor Vidharth is coming to terms with what it means to be a star in the big, bad world of Tamil films. Soon after delivering a mind-blowing performance in his debut film as the hero in last year’s Prabhu Solomon-directed Mynaa, Vidharth has had a failure in his very next film titled Mudhal Idam. The film was produced by AVM Productions.
After Mynaa hit the bull’s eye at the box office last year, Vidharth was flooded with many offers but chose to sign up only a few of them. He was pitted opposite newcomer Kavitha Nair in Mudhal Idam which had a decent script yet failed to make an impression with the audience and at the box office.
The non-showing of Mudhal Idam hasn’t taken away the hunger to do well in Vidharth who has signed his third film in the form of Kollaikaran. Befitting the title, Vidharth plays a petty thief in the film who indulges in stealing things mainly for fun than as a means of livelihood. All of a sudden, an incident takes place which jolts him and changes his life completely.
The film is being directed by Tamil Selvan who is also penning the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film. Sanchita Shetty is paired opposite Vidharth. Selvan says that the romantic portions between the two have been shot naturally and have come off really well. Produced under the banner of Prasad Cine Arts, the film has music by Jogan.
