Actor Dhanush is a busy-bee nowadays. The actor, who secured this year’s national award for ‘best actor’ for his stand-out performance in Vetrimaran’s ‘Aadukalam’, is presently starring in at least two movies. First of the two would be ‘Irandam Ulagam’, which is being directed by his elder sibling Selvaraghavan and which is obviously proceeding rather slowly in typical Selvaa-style.
The other film is ‘3’ which marks the directorial debut of his wife Aishwarya. Mrs. Dhanush has assisted Selvaraghavan during the making of his ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ and has now launched hit first film as director. Amala Paul, who was first signed up as the heroine in ‘3’, is now out of it and has since been replaced by the stunning-looking Shruti Hassan.
Ironically, Shruti Hassan was the first choice as the heroine opposite Dhanush but she was too busy. It is, therefore, some sort of ‘poetic irony’ that she has finally got what was initially offered to her. The film featuring the deadly and irresistible combo of superstar Rajnikanth’s son-in-law and ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Hassan’s daughter has already made many industry-watchers sit up and take notice.
The latest info on the film is that RK, who plays hero in the film ‘Pulivesam’ hitting the screens tomorrow (26th August), has agreed to play Dhanush’s villain in the film. This is not the first time that RK would be playing villain in a major film; he was the villain in Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’, which released a few months back. At that time, RK said that he made an exception to play the villain as it was a film by ‘Bala’.
Dhanush, who watched RK’s performance in ‘Avan Ivan’, reportedly recommended his name to be cast as the villain in ‘3’. Aishwarya immediately agreed to hubby dear’s request and that’s how RK is now part of the film.
