The audio launch of ‘Mankatha‘ is much-awaited due to reasons many. The film marks thala Ajith’s 50th film in Tamil cinema and the megaphone for this multi-starrer is wielded by Venkat Prabhu. The tunes for this crime action thriller are set by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the album consists of eight tracks, including a single track, ‘Vilayudu Mankatha…‘ that got out this May and has attained the top slot in charts.

‘Nee Naan…‘ that is crooned by Bhavadharani and SPB Charan, is an out-and-out melodious track. Whereas ‘Vaa Da Bin Laada…‘ is sung by Krish and Suchitra and is a funky techno duet which is sure to set a rage among the young, it’s a contemporary version of ‘Sorgame Endralum’
‘Machi Open The Bottle…‘ is crooned by Haricharan, Mano, Naveen, Premgi and Tippu.
‘Nanbane…‘ is by Madhushree and Yuvan Shankar Raja again and is yet another duet in the album. ‘Balle Lakka…‘ crooned by Karthik, Vijay Yesudas and Anusha Dhayanidhi. This song introduces ‘Mankatha‘ producer Dayanidhi Alagiri‘s wife, Anusha debuting as a singer! Apart from these, there’s also ‘Mankatha‘ theme music which is an instrumental.
