There have been enough rumors in the media that Kamal Hassan has chosen Priya Anand as the heroine of his next film. The actress has last acted in 180 with Siddharth. Though the film turned a dud, the actors in the film got a new lease of life.
Priya Anand has somehow become familiar to the audience with the song “Nee Korinaal” turning a hit among female fans. Nithya Menon’s debut was Veppam but 180 released first though she signed it after Veppam.
Nithya Menon also has a few good roles staring at her in the future. However, Priya Anand has not been noticed to the extent of attracting Kamal Hassan’s attention. When enquired about the actress being cast in Viswaroobam, Kamal Hassan said he did not know who Priya Anand was.
What the media speculated up until last week were just rumors and Priya Anand was nowhere in the big picture. Viswaroobam’s preproduction is going on and the film is expected to go on floors soon. There has been delay over the change in the cast and crew.
Kamal Hassan keen to have Sonakshi Sinha
The shooting of Viswaroopam, Kamal Haasan’s forthcoming venture which will be directed by himself, is yet to start for Bollywood bombshell Sonakshi Sinha has reportedly pulled out at the last moment due to ‘unavoidable reasons’.
But the Ulaga Nayagan, who plays the lead role besides wielding the megaphone, is hoping that Sonakshi will change her decision. The role was written keeping her in mind, said a source close to the development.
But despite the legendary actor’s persistence, Sonakshi is unable to accommodate the project. ‘Sonaksi was in fact happy to do the project and allotted dates in May and June. Since it took time for Kamal to start the film, she is now unable to provide dates,’ say Bollywood circles.
They add: ‘Sonakshi has allotted her dates to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Prabhu Deva for Rowdy Rathore. This will go on through August. Then in September she does another schedule of Shrish Kunder’s Joker. There is no way she can accommodate Viswaroopam.’
